“For the sole true end of education is simply this: to teach men how to learn for themselves; and whatever instruction fails to do this is effort spent in vain.”

Blessings & Urgency

Each year, the Evangel Classical Christian School population continues to grow. We are blessed to have an ever increasing number of families in our community who see the value of a classical and Christian approach to education. In order to meet the demands of our growing student body, we completed construction last October on a beautiful 5200 sqare-foot addition that houses six Grammar, Logic, & Rhetoric classrooms as well as a spacious library and meeting room for all of our students and faculty. The final cost for the project was $629,000. Through fundraising efforts in our Golf Tournament and Walk-a-Thon over the last two years, we have paid that debt down to approximately $450,000.

As we continue to grow, the urgency to completely pay for this project is great. Beginning with the 2011-2012 school year, ECCS will need an additional two classrooms and more library space.  In order to be in a position to take the next step and allow our branches to widen once more, we are introducing the three-year “Grounded in Grace, Growing Through Faith” Capital Campaign.  Our goal is to raise at least $500,000 over three years.

This campaign will fund improvements in three areas critical to our continued mission:
1. Pay for the construction of the wing of our building completed in 2008.
2. Raise capital for the next project which will allow the school to continue growing.
3. Supply funds for student scholarships for families in need.
